Selftaugth Cloud page: The Power of Public Learning

In the fast-paced world of cloud computing, staying ahead requires continuous learning. As a solutions architect and engineer, I have always prioritized expanding my knowledge and refining my skills across AWS, Kubernetes, Data pipelines, and beyond. However, I’ve come to realize that learning in public sharing insights, challenges, and experiences—offers a unique and powerful advantage.

That’s why, starting today, I am committing to public learning every week through this page. This will be a space where I document my technical explorations, deep dives into AWS services, and hands-on experiments with real-world solutions.

Why Public Learning Matters

1. Reinforcing Knowledge Through Teaching

The best way to solidify understanding is to explain concepts to others. Writing about complex AWS features or troubleshooting Kubernetes problems not only helps me internalize these concepts but also allows others to benefit from structured insights.

2. Building a Knowledge Repository

By publishing my learning journey, I create a searchable reference for myself and others. Whether it's a deep dive into AWS CDK best practices or an exploration of Redshift Zero-ETL integration, these posts will serve as a documented resource that I (and the community) can revisit.

3. Engaging with the Community

Public learning fosters collaboration. Whether through comments, discussions, or feedback, engaging with other engineers strengthens ideas and introduces new perspectives. Learning shouldn’t be a solo endeavor—it thrives in shared environments.

4. Helping Others Break Into Cloud & DevOps

Many aspiring cloud engineers struggle with fragmented learning paths. By sharing hands-on experiences, architecture patterns, and practical challenges, I hope to contribute to a clearer roadmap for those starting their cloud journey.

What to Expect from My Weekly Learning Updates

Every week, I’ll share technical insights on Self-Taught Cloud, covering topics such as:

  • Deep dives into new AWS features (e.g., Amazon EKS Auto Mode or RDS Blue/Green Deployments)
  • Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation best practices)
  • Kubernetes automation and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
  • PostgreSQL optimization and scaling strategies
  • Data engineering
  • Real-world troubleshooting experiences in AWS, networking, and distributed systems
